On November 15th, we returned to Butler University’s Esports Park for our largest Adaptive Gaming Night to date—and what a night it was. Building on the energy of last month’s gathering, this event brought together eight gamers, evenly split between four returning players and four new gamers who quickly became part of the community.

The room was filled with excitement, laughter, and the unmistakable feeling that something special is growing here.

Breaking New Ground With Adaptive Tech

One of the standout highlights of the evening was seeing two gamers playing with the QuadStick, the mouth-operated joystick for gamers with limited use of their extremities. This time, not only did the QuadStick continue empowering returning participants, but it also opened the door for new players to experience gaming in a way they never had before.

Each round of Mario Kart—packed with cheers, playful competition, and triumphant grins—reminded us why adaptive technology matters. It’s about more than accessibility; it’s about independence, joy, and the freedom to play.

Games, Giggles, and Good Times

This event was all about fun, connection, and variety. Our screens lit up with Mario Kart races and creative adventures in Roblox, two favorites that kept everyone engaged and entertained all night long.

But the fun didn’t end with video games. Families and gamers gathered around the table to play Sushi Go, filling the room with the kind of friendly chatter and laughter that only a good board game can inspire. Whether racing on a track, exploring an online world, or trying to collect the perfect sushi combo, there was something for everyone.

Friendships Flourishing & Community Growing

As with every Adaptive Gaming Night, the heart of the event wasn’t the games—it was the people. We saw new friendships form and old ones strengthen. We watched players encourage one another, share tips, celebrate victories, and laugh off losses.

Moments of connection filled the space:

  • a returning gamer showing a newcomer how to use the QuadStick

  • families gathering over Sushi Go

  • spontaneous cheers erupting during close Mario Kart finishes

These are the moments that shape our community. This is why we do what we do.

A Huge Thank You to Our Partners

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Butler Esports for once again welcoming us into their incredible facility, and to Reel Pipe and Valve for being our food sponsor. Your support helps make these nights accessible, joyful, and unforgettable.

We’re grateful for every gamer, family member, volunteer, and supporter who showed up and contributed to the energy and warmth of this event. You’re helping build a community where everyone belongs.

Keep the Momentum Going

With each gathering, we see the impact of accessible gaming grow—and we’re excited for what’s ahead. If you’d like to support our mission, please consider making a donation at rxgaming.org/donate.
