August Adaptive Eval Night: New Custom Setups, Roblox, and Community

We wrapped up another Adaptive Eval Night at Butler Esports Park this past Saturday. We had a great turnout, with a full room of players, families, and regulars coming together for an evening of gaming, food, and testing out equipment setups.

Working on Custom Setups and New Equipment

One of the highlights of the night was collaborating with families on custom adaptive gear. One of our gamers brought in specialized equipment their they use at home, which allowed our team to work directly with them to figure out what configurations worked best and challenged us to think how we could continue to lower the burden of gaming. Being able to adapt setups in real-time so someone can play comfortably is at the core of what these nights are about.

D&D, Roblox, and Switch Titles

The tabletop area stayed busy as well, with our ongoing D&D campaign, bringing together both experienced players and people new to tabletop roleplaying.

Over on the PC stations, players spent time on Roblox, Halo, and a mix of other titles. We also had several Nintendo Switch stations running multiplayer games all night, giving everyone plenty of options whether they wanted to play casually or cooperatively. Between matches, everyone hung out, caught up, and shared some pizza and snacks.

Supporting Our Mission

These monthly evaluation nights are supported by our community partners, sponsors, and individual donors who make it possible for us to keep providing accessible space, specialized controllers, and technical support.

Thank you to Butler Esports Park for hosting us, Reel Pipe and Valve

for their ongoing sponsorship, and our individual supporters whose monthly contributions fund our adaptive equipment inventory.

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you all at the next evaluation night!
