This past Saturday was a great night for Rx Gaming in Indy! We were able to meet some new gamers and had some of our returning friends there too!

We were able to identify barriers to gaming for our new friends and work out adaptive techniques and equipment to help them overcome these barriers

. Several of our friends were "one handed" gamers. Meaning they typically play with just one hand. It was so impressive to see how they have adapted to playing this way and their ability to control games this way. We were particularly impressed at the ability of one of our gamers to multitask in Fortnite; building, looting, fighting, etc. Champ!!

We were able to trial a few different controllers including the 8BitDo Lite and the "Evil Controller". There were XACs, controllers, joysticks, etc being used. It was so great to see!

Austin brought his Switch 2 with Mario Kart World. This was definitely the most popular game of the night. After the evals and getting our gamers set up, most gravitated towards the new Mario Kart.

We were able to enjoy some Chick-Fil-A thanks to one of our sponsors Reel Pipe and Valve!

We also had our tabletop experts showing off some board games, adaptive dice, and setting up some adaptive DnD. We are working hard to add adaptive DnD/Board/Card gaming to our services. I was able to hear how much fun the DnD game was and was told by one of the participants that he LOVED it! Thanks again to all of our sponsors that help make this possible! A Special thanks to Reel Pipe and Valve, Quantum Rehab, The Bridge Adaptive Sports, and Butler Esports! Also we want to thank our Empower Play Club Members for their support! Consider supporting Rx Gaming so we can continue to break down these barriers to gaming at Rxgaming.org
